Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!

Today is my Mom's birthday. She is the most wonderful Mom I could ever want. She is always helping me out, whether it be giving me money, giving me advice, being a support system, calming me down about my latest MS symptom or just loving me in that special way only a mother can love her child. So here is to my Mom. The most amazing woman I know. I love you so much Mom and hope your birthday was wonderful!!! Sure wish we could have been there to celebrate with you!! Big hugs from your first daughter and her family all the way in Dallas, Texas. We will be back home before you know it!!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!

A visit to the Gaylord Texan

Brad and I took Riley to the Gaylord Texan yesterday. We thought it would be as pretty as the Opryland Hotel at Christmas. It was really nice and new, but alas, not quite as beautiful as the original. I guess not many things are as good as the real thing...(remember the NEW Coke?)...anyway, it was fun and beautiful and almost free. We paid ten dollars to park. We walked around and saw many really cool things. It was fun to go as a family. Here are some pics....I love my family!!!!!

Brad's Birthday

I am crying over this ugly cake...

Today we celebrated Brad's first birthday as a married couple. I am ashamed to say, it was not the greatest birthday he has had....in my opinion. I am not completely sure how he felt about it. I had to work, and Riley was sick. He did have the day off from work, which was good, but we ended up in the doctors office. Riley was fine just a little cold. He ended up taking her when i went back to work, to Best Buy for a "reverse birthday present", as he called it. She got a playsatation game. I did make him a birthday cake....if you can even call it that. Riley helped me mix the cake up. Maybe I should have let her do the whole thing!! Maybe it would have turned out better. I tried to throw it away through my tears, but he would not let me. Let me know what you think of it!!

Our "Style" child...

Okay, for those of you who know Riley well, you know how opinionated the child is. She has to dress herself and do her hair and even though what she picks is hideous, she says, "Mommy, it is style". Whatever!!! She dressed herself today and we were going to run errands. Brad and I thought, there is no way we are leaving the house with her in That!!!....well, with kids, we all know you have to choose your battles. We were not fighting this one. So off we went...yes..we left the house with our "style" child like this. Please check her out and tell me if you would go out in such an ensemble!

Halloween Party @ Preston Kiddie Kollege

Riley will be with her Daddy for Halloween so I got to take her to the party at school! She looked fabulous!! If you think green skin and a big nose with a wart is fab!! There she is with the director of her school, Aunite Maria! We also went over to her friend Callie's house Saturday night. They got to bob for apples!! How Fun!! Then Sunday, when Brad got home, We carved our pumpkin! Riley picked the pattern, I got it started and Brad finished!! What a busy weekend!@! No wonder I did not want to get up this morning!!
